Chi!!!

Ok so I have been looking for a heat protect spray that I actually like for awhile now. I am happy to say I have finally made up my mind! It's the Chi 44 Iron Guard! I have tried plenty even the Brand Generic 44 iron guard. You can find that brand at your local Sally's beauty supply store. The reasons I didn't care for that to much is the spray pump holes are to large and so the product takes longer to dry and my hair just felt sticky to me. With the Chi 44 Iron Guard it dries much fast, my hair is crackling while I flat iron it, and it's not sticky but very lightweight and it flows. I would definitely recomend this product! Don't let the price stop you as it did me. It will last you awhile a little is all you need.

My New Blending Buddy!

So today I went to Wal Mart! Now I was originally going for water ... we will just say I ended up leaving with a lot more than just water. However, I haven't been grocery shipping in awhile. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! lol

I remembered that I wanted to purchase a magic bullet, but everywhere I looked it was being priced around $50. I almost passed it up. Once I saw it I looked up and saw the price of $29 I said Soooold! Yes I am very excited about this purchase. lol I can't wait to use this for my smoothies and protein shakes!

 Coming this October 2012 is the new OPI James Bond collection and I can't wait! The colors are GORGEOUS and rich in color! 

The polishes are named after past Bond moves! You have to just love the concept!

Color Forecast Fall 2012

Soooo Do You Know What Pantone Is!?! If you love Fashion and Beauty you would want to know. This is the group of individuals who choose the colors you will soon be wearing.on your body from clothes, to makeup, to your nails. lol The list of shades seem to normally come out the season before the next season begins.

Ok ladies and gentlemen Fall is soon approaching. Do you have your wardrobe together or are you still collecting pieces here and there. I am most definitely the latter. I seem to be a last minute shopper these days I have to say. The Color Forecast for this coming fall I absolutely love. It has its lights, brights, and a few deeper shades thrown in there. Which is great for me a gal who loves color. Hope it's great for you too! I like the way Pantone gives each gender there own colors while at the same time sharing colors. Now this doesn't mean you have to stay in your gender it's just a guide. Definitely do as you wish! Ok now go and create your uniqueness!

Healthy Eating ...

I think I will blog about food also. I have a tendency to go out to eat a lot. Whenever I take pictures of food and post them on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram I always get questions or text asking what is it and where is it from. So what do you all think about the idea of a Beauty / Food blog?

Anyway I have been meaning to get to Whole Foods for weeks now, but just haven't been able to. I finally was able to get over there today and this is what I picked up.

Have been wanting to try this Hummus for a while and I bought the Flaxseed to add some fiber to my diet.

I just finished eating a little something before I head to the gym. So I had two tablespoons of Hummus  (70 cal) and I mixed 2 tablespoons of Flaxseed into it (80 cal) and then I ate it with carrots and a cup of grapes.Everything was pretty good and you really cant taste the flaxseed and the texture wasn't bad because it was finely ground. I have had another brand where the seeds were a tad larger and you could definitely feel the texture when eating.

I am not able to get to WF as much as I like but whenever I go to check out I get the same young lady and she is so sweet. Well today she asked if  I had the Whole Foods vitamin card .... I said no so she got me started with it. If you buty 5 WF and 365 Everyday Value Supplements (at $4.99 or more) get the 6th free (not to exceed $20)! I was way to excited! lol

Nail Transitioning ...

After wearying acrylic nails and then solar nails basically since I was in the 7th grade I am now transitioning back to ... well just my nails. lol So for the past two weeks I was wearing a light pinky gel nail polish color (Gellish was the brand) . I loved the color, but me being me I get tired of the any color within at least a week. Soooo I couldn't wait until my next appointment. I wanted something different. The only thing is at my job I can only where light natural colors or red because its a classic color. So basically the creativity when it comes to my nails is limited. : (   So this time I remembered I had an OPI Alpine Snow white at home so I brought it with me and they just happen to have the OPI Alpine Snow gel polish. I was very excited because I didn't even think they would have the same color in regular and gel polish colors.

For once in well plenty of years my fingers and toes match! lol I am so happy and pleased! lol

Edge Control ....

 ORGANIC ROOT Stimulator - Olive Oil Edge Control

If your like me I have very stubborn little hairs at my hairline (better known as Baby Hair) that do not like to lay flat!!!!! Most of the products I have ever bought FAILED and was a WASTE of MY money!!! They either made my hair oily or made it stiff.

My Application process:
I get just a very little of the product on my finger and then rub my fingers together so my body heat melts it a tad. Then I apply it on my hair line. Next I use a brush to brush my hair in the direction I want my hair to lay down. A little product goes a long way. With my experience if you use to much and dont let it melt just a little bit then when you apply it to your hair the area will be very shiny and it will look like a lot of product in one area.

This products is the best and so in expensive! It holds my edges all day and never has a sticky or hard feeling to it You can find it at your local beauty supply store, drugstore, or if you have a FRED'S near you it's also there.

Results: If you have stubborn hairs around your hairline and you need that one products that will work wonders I would definitely invest in the Organic Root Stimulator Edge Control. You wont be disappointed!

OPI - Germany Collection

Toooooday was Mani./Pedi. Day and I was WAY 2 EXCITED! lol I felt as if I haven't had them done in forever, but the reality is it was probably only a few weeks ... lol  As usual I went in and selected my color and I saw the Germany Collection I believe it came out last May, but to me it was a new collection. lol My Favorite colors out of the collection are:

 

- Don't Pretzel my Buttons ( a nude that actually reminds me of C-Thru Lipgalss by M.A.C.)

- Don't Talk Bach to Me ( mustordy yellow)

- Deutsch You Want Me Baby? ( a burnt orange color )

I finally decided on  Deutsch You Want Me Baby? because I don't have a color like this already at home.  I figured since I have yellow undertone that this burnt orange looking color would look nice on my skin tone. I have to say I absolutely love it!

My Story:
I went to Walgreen's looking for a few Brow Pencils and of course the specific pencils I was looking for was out of stock! I saw these new Brow products and decided to try them They basically remind me of my Sona Kashuk Brow palette, but in pencil form. They seem to be waxed base not producing  much color. I think they would be great for people who already have thick full brows. Because it's wax this will definitely lay your eyebrow hair down and the comb on the end will help you to come them into place. I will still be using my other eyebrow pencils and maybe this together.

Remingoton - Limited Edition Flat Iron

My story:
The week after Christmas I was at my local Target and I saw that they had marked down a Remington Flat Iron. It was now $15 down from its original $19.99 ... I left it in the store that day telling myself I soooooooo don't need it. Well the next weekend I was at a Target out of town and saw they had reduced it even more to $9.99 ... Soooo I decided to get it lol

Remington 1" Textured Hair Straightener - Red ( it looks more Pink to me )

After I was finished I noticed my hair wasn't as sleek and soft as it normally is and it felt a little rougher than normal. I have medium wavy hair. Oooook so after I straightened my hair and then had to go somewhere lets just say my hair became so Frizzy its crazy! The only thing I can think is it's because of the flat iron and maybe it's plates. I normally always use the Sebastan Re-Shaper so I know it's not the products I used! I am kind of on the fence out this flat iron ... I'll try it again just to make sure.
